Helpful Resources

Easily Access Imaging and Reports

Alexandra Marine and General Hospital (AMGH) has partnered with PocketHealth, a secure online platform that enables you to access your medical imaging records in just a few clicks.

Patient Accessing their own Imaging

Healthcare Provider accessing a Patient's Imaging

  • Instead of a CD, you will receive an Access Page via email. Think of this as a digital movie ticket unique to your patient's imaging, with instructions on how to access their imaging.
  • Go to www.pockethealth.com/view and enter the patient's date of birth and security code found on the Access Page.

CT Scan (Computed Tomography)

CT scans are more detailed than general x-rays, using computers to generate three-dimensional images. The CT scanner is a large machine with a short tunnel-like hole in the middle, where a narrow examination table slides you in and out. Exams are fast, easy and painless.

Pediatric CTs are not done routinely at our hospital as special protocols and dose level reductions are required. All elective Pediatric CT's are referred to the Children's Hospital of South Western Ontario in London. In the event of an emergency, special pediatric trauma protocols are implemented so that we can quickly and safely CT a child in an emergency situation.

Mammography

Our hospital has been established as a breast-screening centre as part of the Ontario Breast Screening Program. This program allows women aged 40 to 70 with no history of breast disease to make self-referrals for routine mammograms. For more info click on the exam prep sheet at the top of this page.

Gastrics

Our gastric services are dedicated to providing exceptional care for a wide range of digestive health needs using x-rays.
